Bedrock’s CAES will save Ontario ratepayers upwards of $150M, and promises to create hundreds of jobs in Ontario — all in support of a sustainable future. Repurposing surplus green energy will help stabilize energy prices for ratepayers.
ENVIRONMENTAL & INNOVATIVE
Our Bayfield and Stanley locations feature natural reservoirs, 500-1500m below ground, capable of storing enough compressed air at 1,176 PSI to power 624,000 homes across Ontario (approx. 520 Megawatts). The unique geology of these reservoirs can handle extremely high pressures and temperatures, and the technology used is tested and proven. With further innovations to existing CAES models however — ones that require natural gas to operate — Bedrock’s CAES solution is an emissions-free solution which puts Canada at the forefront of innovative green technology going into the future.
