Privacy Policy
Bedrock Energy Corp. collects as little personal information as it can and uses it only to answer you. This page explains what that means in practice.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. The contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the organisation or municipality you are writing on behalf of, and your message. The support form asks for rather less.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. This site sets no cookies of its own and builds no profile of you.
Why we collect it
To read your message and reply to it, and to route it to whoever at Bedrock is the right person to answer. That is the whole purpose. We will not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How it reaches us
A submitted form is delivered to Bedrock by email through a third-party email service acting on our instructions. The message is not stored in a database on this website.
The site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes.
Third-party content
Two things on this site are loaded from other companies, and each sees your IP address when it loads:
- Typefaces are served by Google Fonts on every page.
- Video is hosted by YouTube. A film only loads when you press play, and YouTube may set its own cookies at that point under its own privacy policy, not ours.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept as email for as long as they are useful to the matter you wrote about, and are deleted when they are not. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Under Canadian federal privacy law, and Ontario law where it applies, you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time and at no cost.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the revised version will be posted here with a new date below.
